The group is comprised of sets of prints, housed in their original glassine envelopes, organized by model. The sets include personas such as the duo Jeff Cameron & Jeremy Brent, The Bull Dozier, John Colby, Pete Bronsky, and more. Silver prints, the images measuring 165.1x114.3 mm; 6 1/2x4 1/2 inches, and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, some with the Target Studio copyright hand stamp, on verso; the glassine envelopes each with a studio shoot title and model name hand stamp; duplicates. 1970s. Target Studios was created by photographer Jim French and his partner Lou Thomas in the mid-1970s. The studio answered to an underground demographic that craved quality homoertoica after the U.S. Supreme Court banned depictions of male frontal nudity in 1967.
