Published as an independent venture by its pioneer printer, George Roulstone, the text covers the acts of the territorial and state assemblies. John H. Eaton, to whom this book belonged, was an attorney, member of the Tennessee Legislature, Andrew Jackson's first biographer, a member of the U.S. Senate (1818-1829), and Jackson's Secretary of War.
