This Italian printing includes Sheridan's account of the battle of Falkirk on January 17 against Lieut.-General Henry Hawley, an indication of the strong Roman Catholic interest in the progress of the uprising; it was to prove the last victory of Jacobitism. -- An Authentic Account of the Battle fought between the Army under his Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland and the Rebels on Drummossie Muir near Culloden, on the 16th April 1746 . Also includes 'A return of the rebel officers and soldiers now prisoners in Inverness 19th April 1746.' RARE. ESTC records two editions, both folio, one of 8p.
