The American Cricket Annual [after 1897 The American Cricket Annual and Golf Guide ], edited by Jerome Flannery. New York: 1890-1901. 12 volumes, small 4° (166 x 108mm). Half-tone illustrations in last two volumes. (Waterstaining in 1895.) Modern blue half morocco, 1893, 1894 and 1896 preserving [?]publisher’s original blue cloth covers with gilt lettering and date on front cover (lettering to 1894 faded). 1895, 1897, 1900-01 with front wrapper bound in, 1899 with rear wrapper only, 1898 with both wrappers bound in (existing wrappers chipped, other volumes without wrappers), slipcase. Provenance : 1894 with loosely inserted leaf inscribed ‘Capt. Jno. C. Green with compliments of Jerome Flannery Apr. 1894’ -- the set purchased from J.W. McKenzie in 1978. Spalding's Official Cricket Guide , edited by Jerome Flannery and Frederick Fitzmaurice Kelly. New York: 1904-1914. 11 volumes, small 4° (167 x 108mm). Half-tone illustrations.
