The case stamped to 'Lt. Col. J. Evans 2nd Bn Mon Reg', the contents comprise his cased binoculars (Karl Zeiss. Jena Turact 8X), a scrap book mainly covering Col. Evans's post WWI service in the T.A., a few photographs showing Evans in early S.D. uniform (C.1908) and during WWI, a large collection of genuine mainly British military cap badges, the majority mounted on a cloth band, these include 5th DGs (K/C), Manchester's (1st Pattern), Hertfordshire Regiment, 6th Bn King's Liverpool Regt, 18th Bn London Regiment, Camerons (pre 1892) etc, (approx 50+ caps) plus various collars, s/titles and miscellaneous items, two cased HM silver sporting medallions for the Welsh Border Brigade (1924-1925) and various loose foreign coinage.
