The commons complaint. VVherein is contained tvvo speciall grieuances: The first, the generall destruction and waste of woods in this kingdome, with a remedy for the same: also how to plant wood according to the nature of euery soyle, without losse of any ground; and how thereby many more and better cattell may be yeerely bred, with the charge and profit that yeerely may arise thereby. The second grieuance is, the extreame dearth of victuals, folding woodcut imprimatur f. and 'The Figure of the Plot' (a fowl-house), woodcut initials and head-pieces, water-stained, closely trimmed at head, occasionally just touching headline, modern half calf, [Fussell p.33; Goldsmiths' 401; Henrey 351; STC 23201], small 4to, by William Stansby, 1611. *** Scarce. This variant not in British Library. To counter his grievances Standish advocates the planting of fruit trees, breeding of poultry, the destruction of vermin and improving the corn crop.
