Chromolithograph half-title (included in pagination). Text printed within borders in unusual script typeface. 7½x4¾, original blind-stamped cloth, front cover gilt-lettered in cartouche, all edges gilt. First Edition. Presentation copy, inscribed on the front free endpaper: "Gilman Henry Tucker / From / Thaddeus Davids. 1860." Davids was a New York City ink merchant; copies of his work are very rare. Lot Amendments Condition: Corners and spine ends worn, upper joint starting, a little shaken; light spotting at ends, including title; very good. Item number: 157653
