No. 1714 of 402 copies numbered from 1492 to 1893. The Quadri-Centennial Edition. A wonderfully illustrated edition of Irving's classic history of the voyages of Columbus and his companions. Ex-libris of Hyman Friedman with bookplates on front pastedowns, limitation statement states this set was printed for Herman Friedman. Lot Amendments Condition: Spines lightly sunned, vellum soiled with scuffs and touches of wear, some fraying to ends of spines; front hinges of vol. 1 and 2 cracked with one loose gathering in volume 1, very good.
