Author: [Clark, John] Place: [London] Publisher: Samuel Leigh Date: [c.1830] Description: Hand-colored folding aquatint panorama of the Thames from London to Richmond, consisting of 46 joined sheets measuring a total of 21.5x1791 cm (8½x705"), as well as a corresponding panorama of the View of London from the Adelphi, consisting of 3 joined sheets being 21.5x162 cm (8½x66½"), both panoramas loose and housed together in a single wallet tipped in a folder with printed cover label. A wonderful panorama of the Thames showing the landmarks on both sides of the 15-mile stretch of river from Westminster Bridge to Petersham Meadows in Richmond. Includes the striking London view as well. Both housed together in a single wallet labeled "View of London from the Adelphi." Lacking the descriptive text booklet. Lot Amendments Condition: Fair amount of wear, soiling and rubbing to outer folder, some wear to inner wallet; panoramas with light toning and wear to edges, with occasional minor chips and closed tears, some minor soiling, closed tears along many folds, most plates reinforced with tape to verso at folds; panoramas overall very good.
