The Royal Caledonian Curling Club, an exceptional group of medals, viz. silver District (2), and Province medals by Sclater, reverse curling scene with four players, thistle borders, all 52mm (Brodie 406); silver District medal, by Sclater, similar, thistles and crown suspension, 41mm (Brodie 416); silver District medals (3), by Edwards & Sons and by A. Kirkwood (2), reverses curling scene with eight players above arms, all 40mm (Brodie 433); silver Province medals (2), one by Edwards, other by Kirkwood, similar, with crossed broom suspension and clasps, both 52mm; Jubilee medal, 1888, in bronze, by Edward & Sons, crowned arms, reverse curling scene with five players, 75mm (Brodie 418); silver engraved medals (2), one named (Won by William Park January 7th, 1891), both 41mm; other engraved silver medals, openwork badges and plaques relating to the 12th Province of the RCCC (15) [27]. Earlier medals about very fine and better, later engraved pieces generally extremely fine; mounted for display (£800-1000) Footnote The medals are housed in a purpose-built wooden display cabinet with a glazed door, bearing carved images of a curling player and two curling stones at the top. A plaque inside reads “Lochwinnoch Auchenbothie Curling Club” and details the names of winners in 1893, 1895 and 1897
