Lot of 3 gem-size tintype albums, including: Empty red leather album, 3.75 x 5 in., "Album" in gilt on spine, with a penciled inscription on the inner cover to a Perley W. Dodge in Amherst, New Hampshire, from a Sophia, dated July 9, 1869. Brownish-red leather album, 3.25 x 3.5 in., "Album" in gilt on spine, containing approx. 83 gem-sized portraits of men, women, and children, including some group portraits of 2 or more subject. Brown leather album, 3.25 x 3.5 in., with "Album" in gilt on spine, containing approx. 89 gem-sized tintype portraits of men, women, and children. Provenance: Property from the Inventory of Rex Stark Condition: Shelf wear to each album, especially in raised areas, edges, corners. Interior pages with some foxing. Tintypes overall good to very good condition, although few with surface scratches/nicks.
