Author: Place: Publisher: Date: 1935-46 Description: Includes: Russian Tea Room promotional booklet, dated 1935 by customer on rear panel. 3.5 x 6.5” expanding to 6.5 x 10.5”, 6pp. Domino Club menu, Sept. 19, 1945. 6 x 8.5”, 4pp. Golden Pheasant restaurant menu. Francis DeFoy's cartoon map of San Francisco as front and rear cover illustrations. November 25, 1946. 8.5 x 11”, 4pp., including 1-pg. text on the restaurant’s fifty-year history. With original illustrated unused mailing envelope. The Russian Tea Room brochure explains the “Russian peasant style” art decoration of the restaurant, which was opened by a Russian émigré during Prohibition, struggled to survive the Depression, closed during World War II and reopened twenty years later in Carmel. Domino's was a Jazz club restaurant, famous for its collection of “glorious, glamorous, gorgeous” nude paintings. Lot Amendments Condition: Very good. Item number: 247924
