Pennino (1915-1998) was the director of NASA's public relations program, and did the advance work for foreign goodwill tours made by astronauts. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED on mount: "To Walt and Martha. A proud moment for an American at Tranquility Base. With best wishes, Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11." The Apollo Program's most iconic image, taken by Neil Armstrong: Buzz Aldrin standing on the Moon.
