TWO CHINESE JADE SWORD SLIDES, the larger example carved with C-scrolls, of a greenish tone with brown markings, 3.5" long; the other carved with foliate scrolls and a brocade band, of pale celadon tone with russet markings, 3" long; both Han or later (2). Provenance: The Collection of Dr. Julian Deveron Redmill (1916-1993), and thence by descent. Probably acquired on the London Art Market in the 1950's. Estimate: 500-1000
