Two Continental Porcelain Figural Groups Late 19th/early 20th century Comprising one example in the Vienna style, of five children at play and practicing playing music, and another in the Meissen style, of four children playing musical instruments. Height of tallest 10 1/4 inches. C Estate of Angelina C. Ciardi
Group with standing musicians: has been extensively restored, overpainted, etc; numerous hairline cracks; factory marks on underside, if any, are now obscured by overpaint restoration Group with putti musicians: losses to some of the leaf tips, loss to pinky on figure in pale yellow garment on the right side; restoration to horn held by putto on the far left side; loss to top tip end of bow held by violinist; possible other restorations; not blacklighted; pale blue beehive mark on the underside
