TWO COPPER-RED-GLAZED BOTTLE VASES19th century/late Qing dynasty
The first, with a low compressed body sweeping up to a waisted neck and broad everted rim, supported on a short foot, covered overall with a rich red glaze suffused with craquelure and draining to a creamy tone at the rim, the glaze stopping short of the foot; the second, with the globular body rising to a long slender neck surmounted by an inverted mouth rim, covered in a variegated crimson glaze thinning at the mouth to a paler hue, the glaze stopping at the foot.
