Two Frankenthal figures of Scaramouche and Mezzetin from the Commedia dell'Arte Circa 1760, Mezzetin with blue rampant lion and crown mark at back and PH3 incised to base Modelled by J.W. Lanz , Scaramouche after an engraving by Johann Jacob Wolrab , wearing a small green hat, neck ruff, yellow-trimmed jacket, iron-red waistcoat, puce-striped skirt and yellow shoes, standing with her head slightly turned to her left, her left hand on her hip, her right holding out her skirt, on a scroll-moulded base with the scrolls picked out in puce (very slight chipping to extremities); Mezzetin in a green and red-striped red ribbon-tied costume of turbab, neck-ruff, jacket and breeches and with a white cloak wrapped around him, a tree-stump behind him, on a square scroll-moulded and gilt base (fingers of left hand lacking, some chipping to ribbons and extremities) 6 1/8 in. (15.3 cm.) and 5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) high (2)
