TWO GEORGE III IVORY TOOTHPICK CASES ONE SET WITH AN EYE MINIATURE circa 1800 Two flattened hinged ivory boxes, one rectangular, the lid carved as a grid containing gold piqué point crosses, centred by a gold-mounted circular glazed pleated hair panel concealing an eye miniature opening when a secret gold button at the rear is pressed , the inside of the lid set with a mirror, the inside of the base with three velvet-lined compartments one filled with three small rectangular ivory tablets encrusted with gold trefoils, the other box oblong with rounded ends, the lid centred by an oblong gold-mounted foiled blue opaline glass panel painted with a green leaf surrounded by the gold motto ' JE NE CHANGE QU'EN MOURANT ', the interior of the cover set with fitted mirror and the base lined with yellow velvet 3 7/16-3 3/8 in.
