TWO PALE OLIVE JADE OPENWORK ORNAMENTS EASTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, 5TH-3RD CENTURY BC One of scrolled outline, perhaps representing addorsed dragons with outward-facing heads at the upper corners, carved on one side in low relief with scrolls, the reverse slightly convex, the semi-translucent stone with some areas of brown color; the other of oblong shape with bird's head-form scrolls projecting from the narrow sides and a coiled scroll in the center opening, with double-line decoration on both sides, the stone semi-translucent l 9/16 and 2 1/16 in. (4 and 5.1 cm.) across (2)
