TWO PALM LEAF MANUSCRIPTS BOUND BETWEEN WOODEN BOARDS, AND A GROUP OF THIRTEEN PALM LEAVES India, the largest manuscript dates to 1830, the others c. 19 t h century. 55 x 240 mm. The larger text is a theological poem written by Manicavassagar, a celebrated Shaiva poet. The loose leaves include a prayer, a Buddha and charms for curing disease. Both are written in Pali-Sinhalese. 40 x 220 mm. The subject of the smaller text is unknown. Bound with modern thread between two dark wooden boards carved with coffers. Overall in good condition.
