Envelope accompanies this letter, with Presidence de la Republique stamps. Accompanied by a slip headed 'General de Gaulle' with a short thank you note in de Gaulle's hand. Ferdinand Otto Miksche (1904-1992) was a Czech Captain and military historian, awarded the Medal of Freedom and Order of the Colonial Empire, and the author of a number of works on European military history. Each letter signed by de Gaulle in ink. (3)
