TWO THANGKAS DEPICTING SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA TIBET, 18TH-19TH AND 20TH CENTURY The first depicts Shakyamuni Buddha to the centre seated in dhyanasana with his hands held in bhumisparsha mudra , surrounded by smaller images of Buddhas holding various mudras . The second depicts Shakyamuni Buddha holding an alms bowl in his left hand, surrounded by arhats , with the Four Guardian Kings at the bottom. The larger, 20 ¼ in. x 31 ½ in. (51.5 cm. x 79.5 cm.)
