Take-down frame, blued finish, pistol grip smooth walnut buttstock with hard rubber Winchester buttplate, 18-groove walnut forend, post-1942 4-hole ventilated handguard with bayonet lug and sling swivel mount. Right side of frame marked with a clear U.S. and a "flaming bomb" US ordnance mark. Top of barrel marked with "flaming bomb" US ordnance inspection and Winchester proof mark. GHD cartouche in a rectangular box present on reverse of butt, with a weak Ordnance Wheel inspection below. Includes OD green web sling. Condition: Very good. Retains some blued finish, with fading, wear and loss. Mechanically functional, fine bore, crisp markings on metal. Stock with wear, possibly lightly sanded as inspection marks are smeared and blurred. Some handling marks and dings are present, with the forend having some added finish.
