The second session has the fine provenance of Fisher Ames, a Representative to the first Congress from the 1st district of Massachusetts. Ames was a prominent Federalist and was a strong supporter of the Constitution. The second session also includes printings of important treaties such as the Treaty of Alliance and the Treaty of Amity and Commerce, printed in both English and French.
