A fine platinum self-winding wristwatch Signed Vacheron & Constantin, Geneve, Mercator model, recent With skeletonized nickel-finished lever movement, 36 jewels, 21K gold rim to the rotor, the rim with engraved inscription 1594 Gerard Mercator 1994 , the silvered dial depicting the map of the Americas, the silvered hands placed on twelve and depicting compass legs to resemble the early hand-held compasses as used by Gerardus Mercator both moving in an arch over the two curved sectors graduated for hours and minutes with Arabic numerals, returning to zero after each course respectively after twelve hours and sixty minutes, the circular case with stepped bezel and lugs, glazed snap on back, together with an 18K white gold Vacheron & Constantin hidden clasp, Vacheron & Constantin black leather pouch, case, dial and movement signed 36 mm. diam.
