Half-title to part I, 2pp. subscriber's list in part X. Ten titles with etched vignettes, engraved dedication in part I, etched initials, one etched headpiece in part V, 203 etched and engraved plates and 40 illustrations by Vasi. (Light worming to inner margins of plates 35 to 40 in part II.) Modern half morocco gilt, red morocco lettering-pieces. FIRST EDITION of Vasi's masterpiece, with superb views of Rome, ancient and modern. It was reprinted in 1786 and again in 1803. Berlin Kat. 1880; Brunet V, 1098; Schudt 306.
