Rechteckiges bicolores Kastenschloss, besetzt mit einem Rubellit im Baguetteschliff von 1,26 ct und zwei Diamant-Brillanten von zus. 0,24 ct V.V.S., Weiß. Feingehaltsstempel und undeutliche Herstellermarke.

Der Turmalin war schon in der Antike bekannt, wird aber erst nach 1700 in Europa verwendet. Das Wort Turmalin geht auf das singhalesische Wort «turamali» zurück, was so viel bedeutet wie «Stein mit gemischten Farben». Heute haben sich im Handel verschiedene Bezeichnungen für die unterschiedlichen Farbvarietäten etabliert. So werden unter anderem die Steine von Rosa bis Rot als Rubellit und die grünen Steine als Verdelith bezeichnet.
Zustandsbericht:
Sehr guter Zustand mit leichten Tragespuren. Rubellit an den Tafelkante kaum merklich best. (ca. 1 bis 3 mm).

Germany 1970s Yellow and white gold 14k. All-round four-row champagne-coloured Akoja cultured pearls (Diam. 5,5 to 5,8 mm) with two spacers. Rectangular bicoloured box lock, set with one rubellite baguette weighing 1,26 carats and two brilliant-cut diamonds weighing in total 0,24 carats VVS, wesselton. Hallmark and indistinct manufacturer's mark.

Tourmaline was already known in antiquity, but has only been used in Europe since 1700. The word tourmaline goes back to the Singhalese word «turamali», which means «stone with mixed colours». Today there are various names for the different colour varieties on the market. For example, the stones from pink to red are called rubellite and the green stones are known as verdelite.
Condition report:
Very good condition with slight signs of wear. Rubellite hardly noticeably chipped (approx. 1 to 3 mm) on the edge of the table.
