(Some browning or offsetting of plates and chart.) Contemporary calf gilt (neatly re-backed with original spine laid down, corners bumped). Provenance : E. Jemima Mitchell (armorial bookplate). FIRST EDITION OF THIS RARE WORK. 'The official report on astronomical, magnetic, meteorological, and tidal observations made during [Cook's second] voyage ...
