Lyrical Ballads, with Pastoral and Other Poems, in Two Volumes.
London: R. Taylor and Co., 1805. 2 volumes, 8vo (172 x 117 mm). Uncut. Modern antique style quarter calf with vellum corners, marbled boards, gilt title to red morocco lettering piece, gilt volume number to green morocco lettering piece. Condition: very mild spotting to t.p. of vol. 2 and a few leaves. Provenance: WUE (inscribed initials to title). the last edition in which coleridge's poems appear . With a number of variations in the text of the poems. According to Wise, "the four original editions of Lyrical Ballads [are] treasured possessions for all time for the study of the development of the text of The Ancient Mariner". Wise, item 7, p.52; Healey 17 and 18; Tinker 2333.
