Date: Spring 1994-Fall 1998 Description: 6 volumes. Vol. I, Nos. 2-7. Each leaf illustrated throughout with collage art (with items loosely laid in, tipped-in or mounted), including affixed envelopes with loose booklets or other forms of art and ephemera (including Richard Brautigan’s “a visit from jake” No. 9 of 300 copies and Charles Bukowski’s “fencing with the shadows” X-Ray Broadside No. 4), etc. / pasted ephemeral and original art items / small broadsides / chapbooks / original glossy photographs and film strip / printed illustrations from drawings and paintings, etc. (some are original by hand) / cartoons / ticket stubs / cards of all types / stamps / original poems and other writings (many hand-written) / etc., etc. 8½x7, original pictorial wrappers each bound with legal-style plastic strips holding acetate covers in place, some with pictorial labels (2 issues are held on by metal pins), one with folding front cover with color cartoon art, one with topographic map, one with metallic coating, and one with wood-pattern cover, three with embossed “X-Ray” on the front covers. Each limited to 200 copies. Scarce run of this artistic and elaborately produced fine press / avant-garde chapbook series, each hand-bound and hand-made in a small limitation. Most of the individual broadsides, booklets, chapbooks and other artistic contributions are signed by the author / artist. Limitations for each issue are as follows: No. two, 7 of 200; No. three (with rubberstamping stating that the front cover was shot by Hunter S. Thompson), limitation number not located; No. four, 9 of 200; No. five, 97 of 200; No. six, 133 of 200; and No. seven, 188 of 200. Lot Amendments Condition: Fine condition. Item number: 168664
