Schenk, [1st half 18th c.] Folio: engr. title, numbered engr. ff. (some minor soiling). Cont. overl. vellum, triple gilt ruled border on covers, gilt flat spine with red label (soiled). Excellent copy. Splendid scenes illustrating the Italian Commedia dell’arte, expertly engraved after G.J. Xavery (1700-1747), Antwerp-born painter active in The Hague. Ref. STCN Bound with: Id. - Het nieuw geopend Italiaans toneel, vertonende de wonderlyke ziekte bezwangerheid en baring van Arlequin, benevens de opvoeding van des zelfs jongen zoon [...].
