The Shinto goddess is wrapped in a voluminous robe and laughing gleefully, one hand touching her cheek, the other resting on her lap. Good, generously excavated himotoshi to the back. HEIGHT 4.4 cm Condition: Good condition, many age cracks. Superb patina. Provenance: The Gabor Wilhelm Collection, Paris. A charming piece displaying a beautiful aji – clearly loved by several generations.
