Engraved and double-page throughout. Title, map of Florence and 24 numbered views (2 plates numbered XIV), by Giuseppe Vasi and Bernardo Sgrilli after Zocchi, early manuscript index on rear free endpaper. (Plates numbered I, II, III, VII, XVIII, XX, XXIII with small tears at the fold, small tear to blank margin of plate XIV, plate XIV[bis] slightly browned). Contemporary green-stained vellum gilt (lightly scuffed, joints slightly split), modern cloth box. Second edition of this, the greatest series of engraved views of Florence. Zocchi in Florence rivals Canaletto in Venice and Piranesi in Rome. Berlin Kat. 2700.
