includes two early 20th century, bisque-fired tea kettles and a salt and pepper set, each resembling an African American man, and include clown-shaped noses and hat-shaped lids. All of the figures were cast in Thames and hand-painted in Japan, all with a glazed finish, all include steel wire handles, below pots, inscribed with Pat.Pend.Des; PLUS three early 20th century Made in Japan, bisque-fired and lidded teapots with handles, also included is a large lidded and small unlidded sugar container, and a small creamer with a handle, each resembling an African American female, range in size from 2.75" high to 4.5" high; PLUS two lidded Maruhon Ware creamers with handles, each resembling two African American women dressed as servants, with painted arms and heads sculpted onto the lids, with a crackle glaze, Hand Painted in Japan, 5.5" high; PLUS two unmarked bisque-fired, male and female African American creamers with handles, with glazed servant costumes, 3.5" high; PLUS a Made in Japan bisque-fired elephant container, ornately decorated with hand-painted flowers, and includes a wooden handle, and a African man sitting on the top of the lid, with a crackle glaze, 5.75" high; PLUS a Cameo China Co. Wellsville, Ohio bisque-fired creamer, with a handle and spout, resembling an African American female dressed as a servant, and holding a painted spoon in one hand, with a glazed finish, 3.5" high; PLUS a Made in Japan bisque-fired sugar container with two handles, resembling an African American female dressed as a servant, includes sculpted head on lid, with a glazed finish, 4" high; AND a made in Japan bisque-fired mug with a handle, resembling a smiley face African American Baker, with a glazed finish, 4.75" high. Condition: Paint ca 88% on the Thames pots, with some paint chipping on the lids; paint ca 97% on the female figure tea set, VG; paint ca 97% on the two female formed creamers, VG; paint ca 97% on the elephant container, VG; paint ca 95%, with some crackling on the surface of the Wellsville Ohio creamer, VG; paint ca 97% on the sugar container with two handles, VG; paint ca 97% on the baker mug. All VG.
