«Schmiede im Bärenthal».
Öl auf Leinwand. U.l. sign. und (19)22 dat. Verso auf dem Keilrahmen auf einem Originaletikett des Künstlers nochmals sign., handschriftlich «Jahrg. 1922.» dat., bet. und bez. «Oelbild Nr 1049.» sowie «Hinter. Zarten.», auf einem weiteren Etikett bez. «Mastixfirniss. IV. 22.».
H. 47, B. 88 cm (Bildträger). Gerahmt.
Die 1676 erbaute «Alte Schmiede» ist ein Bauernhaus, das zeitweise nicht nur einen landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb, sondern auch eine Schmiede beherbergte. Das historische Gebäude ist bis heute erhalten.

Zustandsbericht:
Guter Gesamteindruck. Leichte Oberflächenverschmutzung, Bildränder rahmungsbedingt leicht ber., stellenweise Farbverluste (ca. 1 mm bis 2,5 cm) am rechten Bildrand.

Oil on canvas. Signed lower left and dated (19)22. Verso on the stretcher on the artist's original label signed again, dated «Jahrg. 1922. (year 1922.)» by hand, titled and inscribed «Oelbild Nr 1049. (oil painting No 1049.)» as well as «Hinter. Zarten.», on a further label inscribed «Mastixfirniss. IV. 22.».
H 47, W 88 cm (support). Framed.
Built in 1676, the «Alte Schmiede» is a farmhouse that temporarily housed not only an agricultural business but also a forge. The historic building has survived to this day.

Condition report:
Good overall impression. Slight surface soiling, margins slightly rubbed from farming, here and there spots of paint loss (approx. 1 mm to 2,5 cm) at the right margin.
