The car for sale, a 1959 Series II coupé, was restored a few years ago by the famous Dutch Ferrari specialist Piet Roeloefs. The client went bankrupt in the middle of the restoration, so Piet Reolofs completed the car meticulously with intention to keep it for himself. It was later sold to a Ferrari Club secretary, and recently came to France where it was maintained by a specialised Ferrari dealer. The polished "blu scuro" (navy blue) paintwork is immaculate and period correct, as well as the interior, finished in tan leather, with red carpets. The engine and all the mechanical parts are in concours condition, but not over-restored, with as a result a spectacular driving experience and an authentic car throughout. This is a good opportunity to acquire one of the most famous series of cars made by Ferrari, since all other 250 Colombo powered two-seater Ferrari models are now much more expensive, if not totally unaffordable like the 250 GTO.
