Offered for sale is a .848L 1960 Austin Seven Saloon manual that has been with the current owner for the last 43 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 50 / 135.
Classic Car Auctions says: "Barn Find"? Not really, this wonderful little Austin Seven was registered to a lady in Worcestershire in 1960 and used until 1972, when it was passed onto her nephew who was employed at the Mini plant at Longbridge. At that point it was showing 39,000 miles and has never been on the road since! This car is a gem of a find and really only requires minor works to put it back on the road, unless a full restoration is what you had in mind. Structurally, we are led to believe it is very sound as are the 'A' panels and the other traditionally vulnerable body areas. It comes with an original service booklet and many receipts for works completed during its time on the road. There are many newspaper cuttings featuring 562 DFK, but more importantly the Buff Logbook is with the car confirming its ownership history. This charismatic Mini is certainly one for the collector and is a sound investment if the current enthusiasm for early cars continues.
