1962 Chevrolet Corvair 900 Monza Cabriolet No reserve Titre de circulation monégasque Châssis n° 20967W313767 Moteur n° TI009RB - Collection d'un passionné à Monte-Carlo - Cabriolet original et abordable - Bel état général - Prêt à l'usage - Sans réserve La Corvair, présentée en 1959, est née de l'esprit créatif de l'ingénieur Edward Nicholas Cole. Avec son moteur 6 cylindres à plat, refroidi par air et placé à l'arrière, elle se distingue très nettement du reste du paysage automobile américain de l'époque. Prenant à l'origine la forme d'une berline, elle sera ensuite déclinée en break, coupé, et enfin cabriolet en 1962. L'exemplaire présenté a précisément été assemble cette année-là, à l'usine de Willow Run, dans le Michigan. Notre collectionneur, sensible au modèle, en a fait l'acquisition aux Pays-Bas alors qu'il avait bénéficié d'une restauration. Un ordre de réparation datant de 2014, chez un professionnel californien mentionne une remise en état des freins et de la mécanique. La carrosserie, très saine, est d'une belle robe noire, et la sellerie en skaï gris est en parfait état. La capote en vinyle, ainsi que les chromes offrent un bel aspect. Les pneus BF Goodrich datent quant à eux de 2015 et présentent une faible usure. Equipé de la boîte automatique à 2 rapports powerglide, ce cabriolet original fonctionne de manière satisfaisante et nous avons relevé la présence d'un autoradio CD/USB. S'installer à son volant est une invitation à la promenade, cheveux au vent, au son inimitable de sa mécanique. With its air-cooled flat-six engine placed at the rear, it was very different from the rest of the American automobile of the period. Originally introduced as a sedan, later on a station wagon, a coupé, and finally, a convertible was launched in 1962. The car on offer was made that year, at the Willow Run factory, in Michigan. Our collector, an enthusiast, bought it in the Netherlands, after the car had been freshly restored. A repair order from 2014, shows that a Californian garage had overhauled the brakes and mechanicals. The black body is very sound and the grey skai upholstery inside is in perfect condition. The vinyl hood and the chrome look good too. BF Goodrich tyres date back to 2015, and show low wear. This original convertible is equipped with the automatic 2-speed powerglide, drives well and features a CD/USB car radio.
