1963 Lambretta Li 125cc Series 3 Lot Number106 RegistrationANT 194A Chassis Number125LI13*087917* Engine Number125LI*087749* Odometer reading438 miles EstimateNo Reserve ResultSold - £4,480 Print details Send this to a friend Manufactured by the Italian industrial giant Innocenti, the Lambretta scooter gained instant acceptance in the immediate post-war years, its cleanliness and convenience in particular appealing to those who regarded the true motorcycle with suspicion. In the UK, Italian scooters were adopted as favoured transport by the 'Mods' becoming one of the enduring style icons of the 1960s. Following the unreliable TV 175 Series 1, Lambretta went back to the drawing board to create one of its all-time greats: the 'Li'. Built as a 125 or 150, the classic Li used the bore/stroke dimensions of the preceding 'D' Series but housed its entirely new engine in modern bodywork similar to that of the TV. This 1963 manufactured Lambretta presents in good working order and is finished in green and white. We are advised she starts easily using the ‘kick start’ and the gear change operates as it should. Imported into the UK in 2007, this Lambretta is supplied with a V5C registration document and we are advised she will be presented for an MoT test prior to auction. A letter from the Lambretta Club of Great Britain confirms the authenticity of this Li 125, any new owner would be encouraged to join the club as they have a wealth of experience in keeping such machines on the road. These iconic scooters never fail to create interest and can be used as a daily driver or as a piece of office art. This Lambretta is offered for sale without reserve. The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day.
