This stunning Aston Martin DB6 was formally the property of an Aston Martin Newport Pagnal employee, who had the engine rebuilt at the factory whilst the car was in his ownership. Subsequently, JMR 968E has undergone a marque specialist bare metal respray and comprehensive rebuild over the last five years. Structurally, the following works have been completed: removal of all paint, undercoat, and filler back to bare aluminium, disassembly and cutting away of both offside and nearside sills individually and replacement new weld Aston Martin manufactured parts fitted, removal of both doors, repairing and replacing any corrosion and four new jacking points with new specific Aston Martin parts. In addition, all new and existing metal, including underneath the vehicle and interior, has been wax oiled in all cavities and painted with Aston Martin red lead paint, subsequently finished with either satin matt or specific auto motive under-seal paint. Finished in Aston Martin Tungsten Silver, the subsequent rebuild made sure all existing components were either sympathetically restored or replaced like for like. In turn, all new rubber trim and gaskets were fitted, along with new door panels, renewed electrical connections, new lights, new headlining, renewed, replaced, cleaned or refreshed interior leather and carpeted panels reaffixed with appropriate carpet materials, to name but a few cosmetic improvements. Mechanically, the brake callipers have been rebuilt, along with new servos, pads and brake hoses. The rear axle has been rebuilt and replaced along with all fitting mounts, straps and bushes. The standard differential has been replaced with a new limited slip unit and the ignition has been converted to an electronic system. The SU carburettors have also been restored, vapour blasted and rebuilt with the manufacturer's rebuild kits. Described by the vendor as in excellent condition, chassis number DB6/3150R is supplied with a current MoT test certificate, as well as many previous certificates, V5 registration document and numerous bills substantiating the major body and mechanical improvements made to car. Having left the factory with many available options: power windows, power steering, power ice sensor, power aerial and power sunroof, this DB6 represents a timeless investment opportunity.
