1968 TVR Vixen S2 No reserve Carte grise française de collection Châssis n° LVX1235/F - Sans réserve - Une des 52 survivantes répertoriées - Historique suivi - Connue dans le monde TVR - Exemplaire du Salon de Londres 1968 Cette TVR Vixen S2 fût exposée au Salon de Londres 1968. Livrée de couleur jaune Sahara avec un autoradio optionnel à son premier propriétaire, M. Rob Cutler, elle a été immatriculée SYD 8G avant d'être cédée l'année suivante à John Bunting qui l'a conservée pendant 18 ans. Participant régulier à diverses courses de clubs, il a effectué quelques modifications sportives. En 1980, il lui faisait bénéficier d'une remise en état complète avec plusieurs améliorations comprenant un nouveau tableau de bord. Elle était alors repeinte de couleur blanche. Utilisée de façon plus épisodique, la voiture était mise en vente en 1987 et achetée par son troisième propriétaire, qui l'utilisait régulièrement avant de la remiser. En 1993, elle faisait l'objet d'une deuxième restauration complète avec remplacement des composants les plus importants et préparation sport plus soignée. Elle changeait de mains en 2003, et le propriétaire faisait refaire le moteur en 2004. La préparation a fait l'objet d'un soin particulier et le moteur X-Flow développe 156 HP. L'actuel propriétaire en a fait l'acquisition en 2011. Rare, avec un historique suivi depuis l'origine et connue dans l'univers TVR, cette Vixen est la plus ancienne survivante de ce type. Cette voiture historique aux performances étonnantes saura combler tant le collectionneur que le pilote. Delivered to its first owner, Rob Cutler in a Sahara yellow shade with the optional radio and registered SYD 8G, it was transferred the following year to John Bunting who then owned the car for the next 18 years. A regular participant in various club racing events, he made some changes to make to the car more competitive. In 1980, the car had a complete overhaul with several improvements including a new dashboard and the TVR was repainted white. Used more occasionally, the car was sold in 1987 and purchased by its third owner, who used it regularly before putting it into storage. In 1993 the car was restored extensively a second time including the replacement of most important components and a neater race preparation. In 2003 the car changed hands again, and the owner overhauled the engine in 2004. The preparation of the car has been the subject of special care, with the X-Flow engine developing 156bhp. The current owner bought it in 2011. Rare, with a continuos history since new and well known in the TVR world, this Vixen is the oldest survivor of this model type. This historic car, with amazing performance, should surely satisfy both the collector and the driver.
