Beschreibung:

Launched in 1967, the Commando deployed the preceding Featherbed-framed Atlas model’s 750cc engine in the new vibration-beating Isolastic chassis and was an instant hit, being voted Motor Cycle News ‘Machine of the Year’ for five consecutive years. This original Commando 850 Roadster was purchased by the lady vendor’s late husband in 1979 and was in regular use until taken off the road in 1991. Drained of all fluids at that time, it has been kept in dry storage ever since while more recently the fuel tank was cleaned and a new filler cap purchased. We are advised that the engine turns over, that the gears engage, and that the brakes have not seized. Nevertheless, after such a lengthy period out of use ‘VFK 688N’ will require careful re-commissioning and the customary safety checks before returning to the road. The machine is offered with Swansea V5 and is sold strictly as viewed.
