Beschreibung:

The vendor acquired this ST70 in December 1980, and used it throughout the 1980s and 1990s on local journeys and for attending Formula 1 Grands Prix, to which it was transported in the boot of a TR7. Such diminutive machines are not usually used for long-distance work, but in 1981 this little bike embarked upon an epic journey from Ostende in Belgium up to the German border for the 24-hour endurance race at Spa Francorchamps. It was fallback transport after the owner’s CX500 digested its second cam chain adjuster a week before the race! The machine comes with both old (V5) and new (V5C) registration documents, photographic history, original owner’s manual and Clymer workshop manual. A new battery and silencer were fitted earlier this year, and the bike is presented in running order. A spare engine is included in the sale. Offered without reserve.
