Offered for sale is a 6750L 1984 Bentley Mulsanne Turbo automatic . Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 90 / 135.
Classic Car Auctions says: Introduced in 1982, the Mulsanne Turbo marked the renaissance of Bentley as a marque in its own right, after years of essentially being rebadged Rolls-Royces. By adding a large Garrett AiRresearch turbocharger to the standard Mulsanne, for a 50% boost in power, Bentley created a motor car that was comparable to supercars of the period, such as the Aston Martin Lagonda and Ferrari 400i. Just 498 were hand built before being replaced by the Turbo R, making this a rather rare example of a vehicle that has a special place in Bentley's history. The car is finished in Deep Ocean metallic blue, with contrasting beige carpet and beige leather seating with blue piping. This particular Bentley presents very well and is in excellent order throughout, its paint has an excellent lustre and its imposing grille wears its Bentley badge with pride. Having covered a documented 72,472 miles (this will go up slightly as the car is in daily use), we are informed of an extensive service history (Service book - Bentley to 1989 then specialists annually to 2001; Detailed invoices - specialists annually from 2002 onwards to 2015, totalling just under £21000 in expenditure). We are told the car drives without fault, snick the column lever into ‘D' and you engage a 3-speed auto transmission that works perfectly; all gauges operate to normal working temperature and do not fluctuate. Sold with an excellent history file, including original Bentley dealer hand pack and books, MoT till July 2016, tax until April 2016 and its superb number plate YEL 113.
