Offered for sale is a 1962L 1989 Alfa Romeo Spider Series 3 manual . Coming with no history file, this lot's condition scores 73 / 135.
Classic Car Auctions says: A lovely entry-level Alfa Spider... The Alfa Romeo Spider was based on Giulia mechanicals, including its twin cam inline four, independent front and solid axle rear suspension, and unibody construction with crumple zones at the front and rear. Mirroring the evolution of the other Giulia Sport variants, the Spider shared a number of engine changes and was initially powered by a 1.6 L engine, before being offered with the 1.3 L 1300, 1.8 L 1750 and finally 2.0 L 2000. Unlike any other Giulia derivatives, however, it was upgraded and continued to sell through four decades into the 1990s. Coming from a private collection, this Silver Spider has travelled some 30,000 miles and was last on the road roughly one and half years ago. On face value, it appears to be a very straight car just needing some re-commissioning, which when done will make this a wonderful, usable daily classic.
