1993 Lola T93/30 Formule 1 - Ex-Michele Alboreto Véhicule de compétition Sans titre de circultation Châssis n°HU02 - Comme sortie de son ultime course - Portant encore le numéro 21 de Michele Alboreto - Exceptionnelle pièce de collection Dans le cadre du championnat du monde de Formule 1 1993, l'écurie Scuderia Italia mit fin à sa collaboration avec Dallara au profit de Lola Cars pour la fourniture du châssis. C'est ainsi que l'ingénieur Eric Broadley conçut la Lola T93/30 à laquelle fut greffée la mécanique V12 Ferrari utilisée la saison précédente par la Ferrari F92A. La boîte est, quant à elle, une BMS-Hewland à 6 rapports. Ce sont l'expérimenté Michele Alboreto et le très prometteur Luca Badoer qui sont chargés de porter haut les couleurs de la Scuderia. Malheureusement, en raison de problèmes d'aérodynamisme et en l'absence d'aide électronique au pilotage dont disposait la concurrence, les résultats seront décevants et entraineront le retrait de l'écurie du monde de la Formule 1. L'exemplaire présenté porte encore le numéro 21 qui était attribué à Michele Alboreto durant la saison 1993. A l'issue de la saison, le moteur Ferrari fut démonté et la voiture remisée en l'état. C'est dans cet état d'origine émouvant, comme juste sortie de la derniére course de la saison, et portant toujours les couleurs du cigaretier Chesterfield, que son propriétaire actuel en a fait l'acquisition. Cette Formule 1 semble donc complète, à l'exception de son moteur et constitue une pièce de collection exceptionnelle et authentique. Véritable élément de décoration, elle pourra également retrouver la piste avec une nouvelle mécanique tandis que sa maintenance sera facilitée par l'absence d'aide électronique. Les connaisseurs et les esthètes ne pourront qu'apprécier! Competition vehicle Unregistered Chassis no. The engineer Eric Broadley designed the Lola T93/30, which received the V12 Ferrari engine which had been used the previous season in the Ferrari F92A. The gearbox was a six-speed BMS-Hewland. The experienced driver Michele Alboreto and the very promising Luca Badoer were entrusted with flying the colours of the Scuderia. Unfortunately, due to aerodynamic problems and the absence of the electronic driving aids fitted to their rivals' cars, their results were disappointing and led to the team's withdrawal from Formula 1. The car presented here still bears the number 21 which was assigned to Michele Alboreto during the 1993 season. At the end of the season, the Ferrari engine was removed and the car stored as it stood. It was in this moving original condition, as if it had just finished the last race of the season, and still wearing the colours of the Chesterfield cigarette company, that its current owner acquired the car. This Formula 1 appears to be complete, with the exception of its engine, and represents an exceptional and authentic collector's item. Truly a decorative feature, it could also return to the track fitted with a new engine, while the absence of any electronic aids would simplify its maintenance.
