The first with twist sighted barrels (light pitting overall) signed along the rib at the breech, breeches each with white-metal plug, plain border engraved tang, signed locks (hammer noses damaged) and brass mounts, the last including butt-plate numbered '9', figured half-stock (some bruising) with chequered grip, and vacant white-metal escutcheon (ramrod missing), Birmingham proof marks; the second with iron barrel (pitted) belled at the muzzle, engraved tang, fitted with earlier Nock patent screwless lock with traces of maker's signature, wooden three-quarter stock, brass mounts including scroll trigger-guard with pineapple finial, and original iron ramrod (worn and rust patinated overall), Birmingham proof marks (2) 75 cm. barrels and 47.5 cm. barrel
