A 16-BORE OVER-AND-UNDER TRIGGERPLATE-ACTION EJECTOR GUN BY C. LANCASTER, No. 013361, the triggerplate action of boxlock form, scallop-back action-body with carved ribanded detonating, full foliate-scroll engraving, well-figured stock, horn-capped forend, the ribless Whitworth-steel barrels with scroll-engraved breech-ends Weight 6lb. 6oz., 14 1/8in. stock, 28in. barrels, both approx. ½ choke, 2½in. chambers, nitro proof Lancaster's have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed circa 1911. English triggerplate-action guns, of which the Dickson Round-Action is a famous example, are not common and this is especially so when fitted to the over-and-under barrel configuration
