A 19th century basket pendant and diamond and enamel cloak pin, the woven wirework basket pendant containing a cluster of seed pearls, the suspensory loop bearing French eagle’s head assay mark, suspended from an unassociated cloak pin, comprising two matching small brooches linked by a belcher-link chain, each circular brooch decorated with blue guilloche enamel beneath a lattice of millegrain collet set rose-cut diamonds, to a rose-cut diamond set border, mounted in gold and silver, basket pendant length 21mm, cloak pin brooch diameter 11mm. £300-500 Condition Report The seed pearls in the basket pendant are a mixture of round and ovoid shapes, one has been replaced with a pearl drilled right through, the ones to the edges show some wear - one is cracked and one has some peeling to the nacre. The basket mount is in good condition with little wear. The cloak pin is in good condition - the diamonds are all present and correct and the enamel is fine. There is a little surface wear to the mounts and the chain, in keeping with the age of the piece.
