Not serialized, 20 gauge. 24 1/4 inch brown twist barrels, the concave rib signed in gold Wood York. Sighted tang engraved with florals and wolf's head. Engraved locks with gold-filled copper maker's marks Wood/York with a five-pointed star. Engraved steel furniture, the triggerguard and lower ramrod thimble with pineapple finials. Walnut half-stock with straight checkered wrist, the right side of the buttstock inlaid with a German silver compass case, the compass missing. Silver barrel wedge escutcheons and wrist escutcheon. Condition: Good to very good. Barrels with brown patina. Locks with dark patina, minor pitting, gold missing from right maker's mark, the left hammer spring broken/missing. Stocking showing wear and scattered light marks; right side of fore-end with repaired crack and missing a 2 1/4" x 1/4" sliver.
